Does the Amazfit Bip S Support ECG Function?
Amazfit Bip S does not support ECG function
The electrocardiogram is a method of continuous recording of dynamic cardiac activity for a long time (24 hours or more). It can fully reflect the symptoms and changes of the heart during activity and sleep. It is suitable for the examination of transient arrhythmia and myocardial ischemia, qualitative and quantitative diagnosis of arrhythmia, and understanding of cardiac reserve capacity.
However, as a lightweight smartwatch, coupled with the ECG chip means that the watch thickness and production costs will increase, and this function is officially commercially required to obtain the National Food and Drug Administration FDA certification. Like Apple watch 5, only those sold in the United States can use the ECG feature.
For these reasons, Amazfit Bip S does not support the ECG feature, but it supports PPG function and equipped with BioTracker PPG Biological Tracking Optical Sensor developed by Huami.
Amazfit Bip S is equipped with Huami's self-developed BioTracker PPG biometric optical sensor for 24-hour high-precision heart rate monitoring, heart rate interval monitoring during exercise, and AI automatic identification of industry-leading arrhythmias (including atrial fibrillation). It is very practical to have an in-depth understanding of the level of heart health and to warn the risk of potential heart problems.
What’s more, the Huami-PAI Health Assessment System is also equipped in the Amazfit Bip S smartwatch, which can eliminate the need to track complicated data and allows you to intuitively understand your physical state at a glance, as well as more concisely and precisely control your health.
